LAST MINUTE ENTERTAINMENT began it's existence on New Years Eve 1998 and was started purely by accident as well as FROM SCRATCH! . Upon gathering sound components to make a mini studio so that I may produce demo tapes and get back into radio, I was approached by my boss (at a local restaurant I had been working at) about dj'ing a New Year's Eve party being planned.

I only had ONE month to gather the necessary components I needed and since money was tight and credit cards nearly to their limits, I immediately hit the second hand shops for most of the needed equipment. The only items that NEEDED to be purchased NEW was a pair of PA speakers and cheap set of portable CD players. I already had an OLD pair of cast-iron dj turntables (which have since then been replaced with more modern units) and ran everything off a 250 watt home stereo amp/tuner (tuner broken) that I picked up for $30!

After weeks of tweaking with the system, the big night had arrived. I had everything up and running within an hour and didn't have one problem with the setup the whole night - especially with that cheap amplifier that I had only expected to last maybe until the end of the show. It turns out that it continues to operate to this day, even after purchasing a professional audio amplifier recently.. The show was a success and I was offered a couple future jobs before my departure that night.

Technically, the business itself didn't become established until the summer of 1999 as I was asked to do a wedding for a co-worker's daughter who was getting married. I then started advertising and letting the public know that I was out there.

After 2000, more attention from the business was now being directed toward Taverns/Lounges and Clubs.

In October of that year, I was hired to DJ for the Nightshift Tavern, in downtown Bremerton. Three years later, I left Nightshift and played for Spencer Lake Bar and Grill in Shelton on Saturday nights playing music from the 50's to Today's hits for a couple years. Right now, I’m currently on a self-imposed hiatus from the bar and club scene to focus more on PRIVATE events.

Several months ago, LME switched over to DIGITAL as we no longer use CD’s or CD players (except as backup). This makes finding requests much faster and reduces the amount of equipment to haul around to each event.

As of now, I run Last Minute Entertainment as a part-time activity as I do have a regular job working for the State. Someday, I might decide to run LME full time, but right now, I enjoy doing it on a part-time basis, which allows me to be able to offer the low rates for my service to my customers.

Thank You for looking at this site and I hope to be able to provide my music service to you in the near future!
